Founded in 2007, the association Patrons Sans Frontières (PSF) brings together leaders of major European and African companies. Together, with the same will and energy, they set up initiatives to give back their work and their dignity to African migrant workers.
Leaving far away from home for a better life, hoping to provide for their families, many of them wish to return home. Patrons Sans Frontières offers them a realistic and humane option, allowing them to flourish.
Thanks to European companies located in Africa as well as African companies present in key sectors such as cotton, the association offers to study and process applications for return to the country of each.
Thanks to its member companies, it guarantees a minimum number of jobs to these candidates for return.
It will encourage, in the cotton zones in particular, the creation of modernized small farms of a few hectares of which a quota will be imperatively reserved for the candidates for the return. For instance, it takes an average of one to two years to become a professional and independent farmer.
Given the limits of political powers to fight against emigration, Patrons Without Borders invites entrepreneurs from here and elsewhere to take up the torch. Considering that the problem is largely economic, the answer must be economic, and entrepreneurs and their businesses can provide the answer we need. With them, Patrons Sans Frontières gives itself this responsibility regarding future generations.
The concrete idea that the association is launching today is to create an innovative structure that proposes a partnership between Northern business leaders and their counterparts in the South with the aim that the former sponsor the second, accompany and provide them the necessary training for the creation and development of companies in their country of origin as well as any assistance to optimize their economic structures (coaching, lobbying, negotiation of contracts).
