I get myself initiated to international trading in the field and working closely with high ranking mentors until I laid the foundations of the current ADVENS Group in 1988. Author of numerous publications on Africa, Patrick Sevaistre is an expert on private public dialogue in Africa. In the book “For new EU-Africa trade agreements for development”, he proposes with Jean-Luc Ricci, from HEC Paris a series of reforms to engage to change the game and establish a real climate of confidence. With two objectives: to promote the State as a strategist, facilitator and arbiter, and strengthen the role of business in the development of Africa. Supporting agriculture as a sector of the future, he joined Patrons Sans Frontières.
Jean-Louis MATTÉI
Graduate of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris and of the Center of Higher Studies of Banks, Jean-Louis Mattéi joined the Societe Generale in 1973. He became Director of the Africa / Overseas / Middle East Zone in 1993. In 1998, he became head of Retail Banking outside Metropolitan France. He then dxevelopped the international network while strengthening the group’s historical positions – particularly in Africa. In 2012, he became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Société Générale in Morocco (until 2015). Among his terms of office, Jean-Louis Mattéi has also been a director of SGBL and previously Director and Chairman of the AFD Risk Committee and Director and Chairman of the Risk Committee of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Group.
